Time management. As an owner of a small business who handles everything from phone calls, estimates, job scheduling, to being on each and every job, simply because we can not afford to hire extra people for those positions. I struggle with time management and keeping up. Also would like to learn more about the resources for streamlining bidding and quoting jobs.

7 What question.png

How are others costing your equip, labor, mobilizations, trucking, taxes, and overhead into your job? I've been in the industry for over 25 years and have seen many bids from many companies and just don't get how or why so cheap. Companies need to know their market and the size of the market and competition. Cincinnati in my opinion is a small market and cannot support 4 or 5 players wanting to be 12 mil plus companies. As they explode and overhead goes up, the volume of work goes up then prices come down to maintain the now huge overhead. Many are fine as long as the money is going in and out. The problem being they now have pulled down the entire market just to keep the machine (ego) moving. Know your market and don't destroy it and end up making more money with fewer headaches.
